These Terms & Conditions apply to all in-person and online classes, workshops, and training sessions run under Offstage Acting (referred to as “the Classes”).
By booking or attending a class, you agree to the following:
1. Booking & Participation
All classes must be booked in advance via the designated booking system.
Places are limited and may be capped to ensure a productive working environment. Booking confirms your intention to attend, prepare, and participate fully in the class.
Some classes involve assigned partners, scenes, or materials in advance. Late cancellations may affect other participants.
2. Eligibility
Unless otherwise stated:
- Classes are open to participants aged 18+
- Participants are responsible for honestly representing their experience level when requested
- Offstage Acting reserves the right to decline or cancel participation if a class is not deemed a suitable fit
3. Preparation & Conduct
Participants are expected to:
- Prepare assigned material in advance where applicable
- Engage respectfully with instructors and fellow participants
- Be open to feedback in a group learning environment
Disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated. Offstage Acting reserves the right to remove a participant from a class without refund if conduct negatively impacts the group.
4. Recording & Use of Class Material
Some classes may be audio and/or video recorded for educational purposes.
By attending, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You may be recorded during class sessions
- Recordings may be shared privately within the class group only for learning and review purposes
- Recordings will not be made public without separate, explicit consent
- Recordings will be stored securely and deleted after a maximum of six (6) months
If you are uncomfortable being recorded, you must notify the organiser before booking or attending.
5. Cancellation, Refunds & Transfers
Unless otherwise stated for a specific class:
- Bookings are non-refundable
- You may transfer your booking to a future class with at least 24 hours’ notice
- Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or non-attendance, result in loss of the booking fee
This policy exists to protect the integrity of the class and fellow participants.
6. Changes & Cancellations by the Organiser
Offstage Acting reserves the right to:
- Make reasonable changes to class content, structure, or scheduling
- Cancel or reschedule a class if necessary
If a class is cancelled by the organiser, participants will be offered a transfer or refund.
7. Personal Responsibility & Liability
Participation in classes is at your own risk.
Offstage Acting accepts no responsibility for:
- Personal injury (except where caused by negligence)
- Loss or damage to personal property
- Emotional responses arising from creative or performance work
Participants are responsible for working within their own physical, emotional, and psychological limits.
8. Intellectual Property
All class materials, exercises, and teaching methods remain the intellectual property of Offstage Acting unless otherwise stated.
Participants may not record, reproduce, or distribute class content outside the private group without permission.
9. Amendments
These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The most current version will always be available on the Offstage Acting website.
